The Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts (HOK) is an independent professional business organisation of craftsmen established to promote, define and represent mutual interests of craft sector. Its members are craftsmen having a registered craft in Republic of Croatia. The membership is mandatory. The Chamber has the following roles: promoting crafts, representing craft interests before state institutions and in the process of economic policies creation, providing opinions and suggestions to state institutions when creating laws related to crafts sector, assisting craftsmen during opening and managing crafts, and other roles determined by law and Chamber regulations. Crafts Act gives the Chamber public authorities in the area of initial and adult vocational education and training.
