The first exams in basic knowledge about teaching students on apprenticeship were held

On March 4, 2021, the Chamber of Crafts of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County held the first exam period for future mentors in licensed crafts and companies who took an exam that proves the basic knowledge of teaching students apprenticeship. This is the first time that these exams are conducted in the Republic of Croatia, and the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts is responsible for their implementation.

Eleven candidates took the exam, and it consisted of a written test and a practical part of the exam (performing a practical task). The written test was an opportunity to pilot new exam questions in the field of teaching students on apprenticeship, which were developed as part of the Erasmus + project Master 4.0: improving master’s exams.

Acquired certificate of passing the exam proving basic knowledge of teaching students on apprenticeship, the first condition for initiating the procedure for issuing a license for admission of scientists to apprenticeships for crafts and companies that do not have a person with a master’s exam in the profession for which the license is sought.

As part of the project, partners from Croatia, Slovenia, Northern Macedonia and Montenegro are working to improve the questions for the master’s exams and the master’s exam programes.

The goal of the Erasmus + project Master 4.0. is to improve the quality of master’s exams by improving exam programs and exam questions. Also, the goal is to create an online platform for the preparation and implementation of master’s exams in order to improve the quality of master’s exams in accordance with modern trends and technologies and to promote adult education and lifelong learning.
