Activities to improve the issues for the master craftsman’s exam and master craftsman’s exam programs in Croatia, Slovenia, Northern Macedonia and Montenegro – overview of the situation

From the beginning of 2020, partners from Croatia, Slovenia, Northern Macedonia and Montenegro are working on improving the issues for master craftsman’s exams and the master craftsman’s exam program within the Erasmus + project Master 4.0: Improving Master’s Exams.

In Croatia, the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts carried out activities related to the improvement of questions for the master’s exam, which consisted of selecting experts for drafting questions in the field of work pedagogy, holding meetings on agreements on methodology for drafting questions, analyzing old exam questions, creating a catalog of exam questions. , holding an online introductory training and a two-day workshop on the methodology of making exam questions. Based on the described methodology, exam questions are prepared for the general parts of the exam in the field of work pedagogy and economics and legal regulations. Also, in the initial phase are the activities of drafting questions for the professional-theoretical part of the master’s exam for the professions of hairdresser, car repairman and electrician.

During this period, the partners from Slovenia prepared a draft of the examination questions and developed a network plan for the preparation of examination papers. Also, in the process of drafting and finalizing exam questions for the general parts of the master’s exam as well as professional-theoretical parts of the exam for the professions of carpenter, bricklayer and electrician.

In Northern Macedonia, the Skopje Chamber of Crafts and the association “Sreken Život” worked on improving the professional-theoretical parts of the exams for the profession of beautician and developed master craftsman’s exam programs for the professions of car mechanic and baker. They organized meetings with experts and employers who perform these professions and with their help improved the issues and programs of the master craftsman’s exam in Northern Macedonia.
Partners from Montenegro, the Chamber of Crafts and Entrepreneurship of Montenegro in the mentioned period carried out activities consisting of work on improving the general parts of the master craftsman’s exam, improving the professional-theoretical parts of the master’s exam for the profession of high fashion tailor and developing programs and exam questions for the master’s exam. for the profession of photographer.

The goal of the Erasmus + project Master 4.0. is to improve the quality of the master craftsman’s exam by improving the exam program and exam questions. Also, the goal is to create an online platform for the preparation and implementation of master’s exams in order to improve the quality of master craftsman’s exams in accordance with modern trends and technologies and to promote adult education and lifelong learning.
